Join us for
at the Unshackled Alchemy Land Project!
Ja Jounay honors the African and Indigenous ancestral mutual aid legacy of the island of Wai’tukubuli (Dominica).
Land stewards and community members come together to help each other tend land, build, deepen relationships of care, exchange learning and resources, celebrate each other, and fellowship over food, seeds, song, and dance.
Unshackled Alchemy follows in the footsteps of Wai’tukubuli wisdom and diasporic kinship practices.
Come fellowship with us and the land for a day of hands-on land stewardship. Each gathering welcomes you to learn regenerative permaculture growing practices, learn how to use new tools, engage your creativity around farm projects centered in community care, and participate in ancestral led ritual and practices.
All gatherings are intergenerational and offer opportunities to connect with nature and each other, forming new and long lasting relationships.
No prior experience is needed.
Knowledge and skills connected to land stewardship, farming, building, and ancestral practices are welcome.
We invite you to be a vital part of building and growing a collective, sustainable, liberated future!
